The funds collected on the “Day of the Steward” fund, “Looking for a person” fund transfers to voluntary assistants who care for homeless and discarded animals.
Murmansk Fund for Support of Homeless Animals “Looking for a Man” does not have its own shelter. Animals live with volunteers. Startups help them to support them - financial assistance that is paid to Foundation volunteers for curating over stray animals while searching for a new owner. One start-up is 1,000 rubles. The curator receives it for the initial expenses for keeping dogs or cats. Repeated payments are made if the process of fitting the animal in good hands takes more than a year. In addition, the curators are given a partial payment for sterilization and payment in the event that the animal urgently needs surgery or medication, for example, after an accident.
“The administration of our foundation did everything so that such payments became a“ reinforced concrete ”norm. I took an animal for supervision, contact the fund findermin for help. Found an injured beast on the street, do not panic, write a finalmin.I decided to sterilize a stray animal - contact us, ”Olga Shirin, financial administrator of the group“ Looking for a Man ”foundation, tells the Social Information Agency.
The fund administration really did not want to refuse to issue start-up capital or financial assistance for sterilization to any curator. That is why five years ago, the fund began to conduct a continuous collection of cash donations under the name "Joiner's Day". The idea is simple - to attract caring citizens with a proposal to donate a very feasible amount of 100 rubles.
The fees of each of these days averaged 15,000 rubles per month, enough for the issuance of 15 start-ups. But since the general treasury of the fund is also being formed from other sources, if necessary, more payments can be made. This is especially true in the summer.
“In the summer, the problem of abandoned animals escalates. Northerners massively go on vacation and, not wanting to pay money for overexposure, put dogs and cats on the street. Pets do not know life without a human being. They die under the wheels of cars, from the teeth of dogs, from the hands of dashing people, from hunger and disease. There are so many such animals that in our group of “losses” there is even a picture - the pattern is “thrown out or lost,” Olga Shirina continues.
The one-day campaign “The Day of the Steward” is held on VKontakte every month. A fundraising post is published in the group, then a repost is made to the fund group.
Donations can be made in various ways: transfer to the fund’s bank card, replenish the “hungry phone”,to personally transfer to the administrator of the official group group of the fund so that he himself subsequently replenishes the card.
